아, 조국(祖國)                     박두진

 

한번쯤은 오늘 아침 조국을 불러보자.

한번쯤은 오늘 아침 스스로를 살피자.

 

바람과 햇볕살과 江줄기와 산맥 사이

살아서 길리우다 죽어 안겨 품에 묻힐,

 

조국은 내가 자란 육신의 고향

조국은 나를 기른 슬픈 어머니.

 

白頭 먼 天池 위에 별이 내리고

南海 고운 漢擊 아래 파도 설레는

 

지금은 열에 띄어 진통하는 조국의

지금은 안에 끊어 신음하는 자유의

 

한번쯤은 눈을 들어 조국을 불러보자.

한번쯤은 오늘 아침 스스로를 살피자.

 

깃발은 불멸의 것 기리 휘날릴

이념이 녹쓸으랴 겨레 사람아.

 

가슴은 조국의 것 기리 뜨거울

사랑이 가라앉으랴 한 피 사람아.

At least once this morning, let 's consider self-reflection.

 

Between the wind and the sunshine, between the river course and the mountains

Living in, growing up, dying and being buried embracing in her arms,

 

My country is the homeland of my body

My motherland is a sad mother who raised me.

 

A star falls on the crater lake on Mt. Paekdtu

Palpitating waves under the beautiful  Hanla in the southern sea

 

Now our suffering country is in the heat

Now groaning freedom is broken inside

 

At least once, let 's call the motherland by lifting up our eyes.

At least once this morning, let 's consider self-reflection.

 

The  immortal flag  will fly forever

How could the ideology rust away? Brethren man!

 

My heart  belongs to the motherland which will be hot forever.

How could the love dare to sink? One blood compatriots!
